The Tap House Shoreham is now OPEN!
We are proud and very pleased to announce that The Tap House is now open in Shoreham. Situated on East Street, we are the newest bar to open in the town. We will be offering a full wine list, craft beers and ales, lager, cider, spirits and a full Gin list. In addition to drinks we will have a tasty menu featuring our signature burgers, something we are famous for in our sister bars The Corner House and The Beach House in Worthing. We will also offer seafood, particularly Mussels, and at the weekend we will have a menu that includes brunch.
From getting the keys just a couple months ago in April, the team have been incredibly busy behind the scenes. We have undertaken a complete re-fit of the interior, with wall removal, new bar, log burner and some incredible interior details such a our huge convex mirrors and vintage Parisien light fittings.
Features that have made us popular in Worthing will be continued in Shoreham, including a discount for NHS workers, Tuesday-Thursday, a weekly local ‘street of the week’ which also offers a discount (Tues-Friday), a charity quiz night, which will take place once a month and a dedicated Burger Day (Tuesdays) where a house burger and drink is available for the offer price of £10.95.

Progress Report – Our new Shoreham bar is almost finished!
We are very pleased to report that our refurbishment of our new Shoreham Bar, The Tap House, is almost complete! We have been working hard over the past few weeks along with our trusty builders Shore-Build Sussex to transform the interior and exterior of the building. We are so happy with how it is looking and sure the Shoreham public will love it too. We have opted for a stunning blue to adorn the frontage and interior, complemented by flint walls, convex brass mirrors and antique Parisien street lights above the bar. Behind the bar, which is adorned with our trademark tiling, we have installed a huge smoky mirror wall to hold shelves and shelves of bottles, showing off our vast array of wines, gins and other spirits.

The Team Behind The Tap House – a Brand New Bar in Shoreham
Bringing their success from Worthing to a brand new bar in Shoreham
It’s fair to say that The Tap House, our stylish new bar in Shoreham is a family affair, being run by two brothers, Matt and Tim Taylor, and their friend Darren Gearing, affectionately known as Sid. Through a mutual flair for hospitality and a passion for local food and drink, this is third third venture, and their first in this charming seaside town.
Well known Brighton pubs The 3 Jolly Butchers and The Paris House were once looked after by Matt and Tim, so it’s no surprise that the venues they own now are a roaring success. Darren Gearing and his wife Mami are hoteliers and restaurateurs, meaning they know not only how to create the perfect atmosphere, but get the food spot on too.
The collaboration between these three started in 2013 with The Beach House in Worthing, a seaside bar and cafe with views across the ocean and an excellent reputation for the best burgers in town. The loyal customer base that formed quickly around this popular bar were delighted when a second establishment, The Corner House, was opened just up the road. This traditional pub is big on roasts, cosiness, and superb specials.
Now, they’ve opened The Tap House in Shoreham, bringing their unique take on what makes a pub special to another of Sussex’s beautiful towns…
Our Commitment to Craft Beer in Shoreham
We’re proud to offer craft beer in Shoreham from a range of excellent breweries
We know that quality beer is at the heart of every good pub, and so with this in mind, we provide pints of only the finest ales at The Tap House. With Sussex rich in breweries big and small, it would be a crime not to serve the biggest selection we could at our well stocked bar. Craft beer is booming, and with such a range out there, we’re able to keep our selection regularly rotated, ensuring we’re the place to try new and exciting craft beer in Shoreham.
Brewing is woven into the heritage of the South of England, and Sussex especially, which makes it very exciting for us to be craft beer lovers. Some of our favourites include Bedlam Brewery, Burning Sky, Longman Brewery, and Dark Star. These ventures all had small beginnings, but are now Sussex success stories, creating beer locally with the same love for brewing that they started with.
Whether you like a light ale or a dark malty brew, we’ve got plenty of craft beer to choose from, for more information visit our drinks page.
